This special fundraising concert showcases the artistry and versatility of the orchestra's musicians through a carefully curated programme of chamber works spanning the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and contemporary repertoire. Audiences will enjoy an engaging selection of performances by string ensembles, woodwind groups, percussionists and instrumental duos, highlighting the musical excellence that defines the University of Pretoria Symphony Orchestras.
The concert forms part of the orchestra's fundraising campaign towards its 2027 international tour to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the ensemble will proudly represent the University of Pretoria and South Africa on an international stage.
Every ticket purchased and every donation received contributes directly towards helping student musicians realise this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your support enables talented young performers to share their artistry with international audiences while serving as ambassadors for South African musical excellence.
Tickets are R75 per person. Additional donations towards the Brazil Tour Fund may be made through Tixsa or at the concert.
