Ian Burgess-Simpson Piano Studios
It really has been a special year of music in Cape Town, and to give ourselves an extra treat we have just a few tickets left for our soiree planned at the piano studio of Ian Burgess-Simpson on Thursday 27th November at 7pm. Austrian pianist Philipp Scheucher will present a programme of Beethoven and Liszt on the hand crafted Fazioli Grand Piano. Doors open from 6.30 where you can enjoy a complimentary drink and look around the workshop where all the pianos are repaired and serviced, and this continues afterwards where you can chat with Philipp before he flies back to Berlin first thing on Friday morning! We are hosting this concert in memory of Ruth Allen who was a long term supporter of the Concert Series and her wish for Philipp to perform in Cape Town. The studios are situated in Westlake just a few minutes drive from the Norval Gallery and Steenberg Estate.
