Colette du Toit started playing piano at age 5 with Claudine van Breda. She participated in the Czech Republic at the "Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte" in 2011, 2013, and 2015. In 2018, she won the Atterbury National Piano competition and in 2020, the UNISA bursary competition. She was a featured artist in the 2022 SAMRO concert where she premiered a work by Morné van der Westhuyzen. She was also invited to join the Odeion School of Music’s chamber collective. Colette attended the Amalfi Coast Piano Festival and the Todi Music Masters in 2022 where she received masterclasses from Antonio Pompa-baldi, Eduardo Delgado, and Andreas Frolich. She completed her BMus (Hons) degree at the University of Pretoria with distinction and is currently a Master's student studying under the guidance of Dr Tessa Rhoodie and Megan-Geoffrey Prins. She has just returned from Italy where she participated in Perugia’s music festival and attended the summer course of the acclaimed Imola Piano Academy.
