Wessel van Wyk will present a programme of contrasting and easy to listen to piano gems.
His selection will commence with Mozart's first piano Sonata, K279 in C major. Revel in this composer's delicate motivic patterns and delightful ever changing harmonies.
In contrast, the romanticism and charm of Chopin will be visited next in a selection of four of his best known waltzes and a couple of Etudes.
As an exciting finale, the programme will end with a group of works by Albeniz, Granados and Lecuona. Stomp your feet to the strumming of guitars, the clicking of castanets and the enticing Spanish rhythms of Andaluza, Sevilla and Malaguena.
